COVID-19 Notice from the CSS and IEEE (March 13, 2020)

The CDC organizers and IEEE CSS are closely monitoring the developments of COVID-19. The situation continues to change, and with the cooperation and expertise of dedicated staff and health care experts, we are prepared to address future issues that may arise. Please visit the main conference webpage https://www.cdc2020.ieeecss.org for continued updates.

Health updates can be found at the following sources:

We will also develop plans for dealing with a number of contingencies that may arise in this rapidly evolving situation. These plans will be enacted as needed in consultation with the IEEE and announced on this webpage. Video/remote presentation and participation will be explored as needed.

We would like to emphasize that we are taking all possible steps to ensure a safe, engaging, and innovative CDC 2020 in Jeju Island, South Korea. The health and safety of our members and participants is our top priority.

Before traveling to the conference, we recommend that you stay informed of any information your local health agencies may make available and take reasonable precautions to protect yourself. IEEE continues to closely monitor this dynamic situation and will provide updates with any developments.

The following proactive steps are being taken to maintain a safe and healthy environment at CDC 2020:

  • We are committed to following regional jurisdiction guidelines and rules in maintaining a safe environment for our attendees. The World Health Organization's (WHO) guidelines are located here.
  • We are working closely with the ICC Jeju in Jeju Island and surrounding venues hosting official CDC 2020 programming to ensure there are sufficient medical processes in place and sanitation products readily available.
  • We are supporting individuals who may be unable to travel to Jeju Island from affected regions.
  • We will continue to provide timely WHO and other relevant updates to registered attendees throughout the conference as needed.
